Scott Heins is Director of Sales & Marketing for INTRAVIS Inc., the USA subsidiary of INTRAVIS, located in Atlanta that is responsible for the Americas.
After obtaining a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, he started his sales career in the Blow Molding industry with the leading manufacturer of leak testing equipment for plastic bottles – Working through various management positions, ultimately selling thousands of machines to the major converters into the industry.
Scott joined INTRAVIS Inc. as a Sales Manager in 2016, and was promoted to Director of Sales & Marketing in 2017. Mr. Heins has 25+ years of experience in the industry, providing inline solutions to monitor quality and solve problems for manufacturers of Plastic Packaging.
Inspection systems are no longer effective if they just eject bad parts. The key to expanding the value of inspection is to monitor and control the manufacturing process. The speaker will review newly available capabilities, and future plans, for INTRAVIS vision systems to meet these goals in the Plastic Packaging field, including the inspection of Preforms, Closures, Bottles and Labels.
Concepts to be covered include new organization and communication of Statistics, Defect Correlation, Mission Control, Bringing the Quality Lab to the Line, and Closing the Loop. Specific examples will be reviewed that are relevant to the PETnology Americas audience.
